On 24^th December 2020, Uniti Group Ltd purchased the Telstra Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) networks in South Brisbane and other Velocity Estates around Australia. As part of the transaction, Opticomm, the wholesale subsidiary of Uniti Group Ltd, is upgrading the technology in these networks. The transition is being rolled out area-by-area and commenced at scale in July 2023.
